Pisa Biennale

TEMPODACQUA – La Porte Bleue and Les Jetées, two of our waterfront projects, designed by PietriArchitectes were honored during the Architectural Biennale in Pisa, Italy.

Here, architects, urban planners, artists and photographers from Japan to Paraguay and from all over Europe, displayed a hundred projects, whether real or imagined, in which water and its conservancy are the main source of inspiration.

It is time for architects to take their responsibilities, and to put water and its life force at the forefront of their action. We must commence a true cultural revolution and start articulating projects around and for the water as a prime element.

As the commissioner of the exhibit, Alfonso Fermia, puts it “everyone is thinking green. But it’s not the right path: we must think blue, because there is no green without blue”.
